The National Workshop on Maritime Security Training for Seafarers, Port security personnel
and the Administration held on 07-10 May 2013 in the Head Office of DMA, Theinbyu Road.
It is expected to fulfill the requirements of STCW 2010 Manila Amendments and also
includes security exercises such as demonstration on SSAS & LRIT communications.
Altogether two experts from IMO, one from Panama Maritime Authority, one from Vietnam
and one from Singapore lead the workshop. Participants from MMU, MMMC, Maritime
Security Training Centres, MOSA, MYANSEA and PFSOs from ports (Government and Private
Ports), MFSL CSO and selected trainers have been attending in this event.
